IBA's Neil Fraser comments on Transavia's likely deployment of Airbus aircraft for summer 2023.
Transavia France has announced plans to introduce 10 new aircraft for the summer season of 2023. Fleet data from IBA Insight reveals the budget carrier operates 64 aircraft as of September 2022. 61 of these are Boeing 737-800 models with an average age of 9.8 years. The decision comes as the airline plans expansion to new markets in Turkey, with flights from Paris (Orly) to Izmir and Antalya anticipated to commence from April 2023.
It is anticipated the new orders will include the Airbus A320neo, forming part of an Air France-KLM Group order placed in December 2021.
Neil Fraser, IBA's Manager of Airline Strategy, says:
IBA Insight flexibly illustrates multiple asset, fleet, and market positions, actual and potential, to inform client choices and identify acquisition opportunities. Immediate access to crucial aircraft, engine, lease rate and fleet data eases appreciation of historic and future aircraft concentrations and operator profiles.
