IBA's valuations team have identified that current generation widebody aircraft values are continuing to recover but have not yet returned to pre-pandemic levels.

Aircraft values data from IBA Insight indicates that a slower pace of aircraft deliveries is having a positive influence on the rate of value recovery. We also anticipate that a shortage in supply of certain widebody aircraft may appear as key markets continue to recover.

The largest widebody aircraft have proven most resilient, with the Boeing 787-10 and Airbus a350-1000 currently at values up to 98% and 96% of base. The Boeing 787-8 currently tracks between 74-87% of base value. Other notable aircraft are the A350-900 at 79-95%, and the 787-9 at 76-96% of base.

IBA Insight flexibly illustrates multiple asset, fleet, and market positions, actual and potential, to inform client choices and identify acquisition opportunities. Immediate access to crucial aircraft, engine, lease rate and fleet data eases appreciation of historic and future aircraft concentrations and operator profiles.
