As the Paris Airshow comes to a close the usual flurry of last minute order announcements from all the players continues. The latest tally of commitments to order deals is over 1,000. Boeing’s 737 Max in particular and Airbus’ A320 neo family have seen significant new orders from lessors GECAS and Avolon as lessors top the order league. We were relieved that many of our predictions came true as a recent article in Aviation Finance shows, see here for interest. Our Paris review will give a full and complete breakdown of actual commitments – firm, options and swaps will soon be available and will be circulated in the next few days.
