We had a great turnout for the Risk Mapping Webinar this week. If you missed it, a copy of the recording is available here. Alternatively, the slide deck can be downloaded here. Whether you’re an established aviation hand or new to the industry we would strongly advocate the need for a better understanding of risk as lessors and investors look further afield for returns.
Our latest thought leadership article – Credit Risk or Business Intelligence. When financials don’t provide the full picture is also available to download. This detailed guide to Risk highlights the typical areas to address across the asset, the operator and the jurisdiction, plus some mitigation factors that can be deployed to further reassure.
Several news articles caught our collective attention at IBA HQ this week:
Concerns over HNA mount, with Bloomberg penning an excellent piece on the apparent warning signs, the article can be found here.
Sticking with China, the IMF raised fresh concerns around China’s debt levels.
IATA recently produced a report on the Economic Performance of the Airline Industry, forecasting 2018 to be the fourth consecutive year of above-cost-of-capital returns for investors.
Finally, there was an interesting article in the Financial Times this morning highlighting investors concerns over Norwegian’s rapid growth and debt.
